THE TEAM:About Us |
|
Tourism provides for the livelihood of most of Wadi Rum’s families. In our family it is particularly the brothers who are actively involved in the trade, but other family members support the business. Tyseer Mohammed Azalapia has been working in the tourism business at Wadi Rum for the past 10 years. He is working at the Wadi Rum Tourism Center and manages one of the field caps in the protected area. He is the manager of the business, a fine entrepreneur and truly connected to desert life. Yaser Mohammed Azalapia, the oldest sibling, is currently studying tourism at University in Amman. He also is a recognized writer and poet, and recently won an international poetry award for the Arab League area. Yaser provides technical input into the business development and helps out as a guide when he is in Wadi Rum. Abil Nader Mohammed Azalapia is supporting Tyseer in the day to day management of the camp and works as a guide for camel and jeep tours. Abu Yaser Mohammed Eiv Azalapia, father and head of the family, is a recognized historian and representative of the Bedouin at national and international affairs. He supports the business. Associates Yaser Soliman Azalapia, Saeel Soliman Azalapia and Ali Domean Azalapia provide support services, such as guiding, cooking, camp management and tour logistics. Saeel specializes in leading hiking tours. Ali is a musician and can provide traditional evening entertainment on request. |
